Achieve Chemistry Exam Success Through Engaging, Structured Learning

At first, I did not understand the topics my teacher taught in class.

However, Mr. Kenneth helped me understand the topics taught in an in-depth, fun and easy way.

After I joined The Pique Lab, my confusion and annoyance towards Chemistry turned into genuine interest and enjoyment.

Before I joined The Pique Lab, I was failing Chemistry for WA1 and WA2. However, I passed Chemistry for EOY with a B3.

If my friends are struggling with Chemistry and are not scoring as well, I would totally recommend them to join The Pique Lab, as it really helped me grasp the topics and score better using a fun and interesting method! 

As an O-Level student, I strongly disliked Chemistry and was never good at the subject, constantly failing with F9 – D7 grades.

I struggled with understanding the concepts and this, finding the motivation to study and allocate time for it.

However, at The Pique Lab, I felt my teacher always took time to thoroughly explain the concepts to me in ways I could understand.

He was encouraging me throughout my Sec 3/4 years.

Despite never being fond of Chemistry, I found that being in The Pique Lab made the subject more manageable and understandable and eventually improved 6 grades, from an F9 to a B3 in Os.

I would highly recommend The Pique Lab if you’re looking for good Chemistry tuition with teachers who care about you and are ready to help you get through any struggles or obstacles you may face. 

Mr. Kenneth is a super patient and caring teacher.

He was always willing to answer my Chemistry questions after class.

 

The examples my teacher gave were very helpful and easy to understand, making Chemistry very fun. 

Mr. Kenneth was able to explain the various chapters clearly and added scenarios that made understanding easier.

He discussed all the narrative techniques in English.

The scenarios and stories were very funny (in a good, educational way), and his own stories that he shared from time to time were interesting and enjoyable.

I often retold them to my parents and sister for fun.

Mr. Kenneth’s teaching methods helped me understand Chemistry on a deeper level, to the point that I could actively recall, understand, and memorise concepts when reading my school slides or Chemistry textbook.

After a while, Chemistry became quite a fun subject, mainly because I could finally understand it and connect it to real life, especially when learning about how electrons are shared or used for attraction.

Thank you for teaching me Chemistry for the past year.

Although it has only been a year, I feel that your lessons have allowed me to understand Chemistry a lot better and have allowed me to develop a greater liking for Chemistry.

The worksheets provided allowed me to attempt a wide variety of question types, deepening my understanding of Chemistry.

The introduction to Chemistry at the end of Secondary 2 gave me a head start amongst my peers, which helped me better understand the content that was taught in school.

I would most definitely recommend The Pique Lab to my friends.

The most impactful thing about the lessons was the topical test. It helped me understand which topics I am weaker at and the areas for improvement. 

The lessons were structured in a way that broke down difficult topics into more manageable parts.

The use of real-world examples and plenty of practice problems helped me understand the concepts better.

The personalised feedback and extra help on areas where I was struggling really made a difference to my Chemistry experience. 

The most impactful part of the experience would be the very detailed and well-organised notes, especially the visuals and mnemonics!

In-class explanation also helped to clarify confusion.

Some of the challenges I faced in Chemistry this year were due to the speed at which the teachers in school taught each topic.

At one point during the year, each topic in Chemistry was covered through an SLS package on HBL day, one or two practicals and one period of going through the textbook content.

To end the topic, my school teacher would give a few practice questions.
At that pace, I couldn’t grasp the concepts properly and had trouble understanding them.

With your help — through the worksheets, coloured notes, explanations, topical tests, and summaries — I was able to understand the concepts much better.

If I were in a situation where a friend asked me about Science tuition, I would definitely recommend you!

The most impactful part for me is your explanations and the way you teach the concepts.

After all, everyone teaches the same content, but how you teach it makes all the difference.

Your analogies, memory techniques, and teaching style truly helped me!

I had major difficulties understanding the concepts of Organic Chemistry, especially sub-topics like polymerisation.

The guidance through clear and thorough explanations, paired with clear and concise notes, really helped me when revising for Os.

After joining, I slowly started developing an interest in learning Chemistry due to insightful details about how Chemistry is applied in the real world.

All of these helped me improve from a C5 during Prelims to an A2 in Os! 

I definitely became more confident and positive about Chemistry.

I started to enjoy the subject more, as I was able to grasp the concepts and see how they applied to real-life situations.

It was less about memorising formulas and more about understanding the “why” behind them. 

The Pique Lab has helped me better understand Chemistry through the thorough explanations by the teachers.

This allowed me to have a better grasp of my Chemistry understanding, resulting in consistent A1s.
